11th Season, Opening Night Concert
For CCCMF’s 11th Season Opening Night Concert, set in the gorgeous sanctuary of Trinity Episcopal Church, Ensemble-in-Residence the Manhattan Chamber Players will join forces with members of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra to bring you to bring you a performance of Benjamin Britten’s delightful and infectious Simple Symphony and his poignant and powerful Lacrhymae (in a rare presentation of its full version for viola and strings), concluding with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s towering Serenade for Strings, led by frequent guest conductor of the LPO Joshua Gersen!
CCCMF Founding Artistic Director Luke Fleming leads an informal Pre-Concert Talk and Q&A at 6:30 PM.
