Welcome to the Crescent City Chamber Music Festival website! After nine fantastic seasons, I am so gratified that CCCMF has become an essential part of the amazing New Orleans music scene. CCCMF’s Tenth Anniversary Season, “Novelty and Nostalgia,” will be held from October 10-19, 2025!
You can get on our mailing list to receive periodic updates about our 2025 season by clicking here.
For our Tenth Anniversary Season, we are going to celebrate our past Festival successes with nostalgic performances from fan favorites like the Escher Quartet and the Manhattan Chamber Players, and other Festival Artists who have been with us since the very beginning. But we are adding quite a bit of novelty to the mix – for example, we will present the New Orleans debut of jazz vocalist and three-time JUNO Award winner Caity Gyorgy and her longtime partner and pianist Mark Limacher, and we also welcome New Orleans’ own Bryan Batt to the stage as the narrator of Igor Stravinsky’s fascinating musical drama A Soldier’s Tale—a gripping story of a soldier who encounters the devil (parts played by myself and my wife, respectively!). You can read more about this season’s seven Free Public Concerts by clicking here.
At its heart, CCCMF is an outreach/mission-centric festival. In addition to presenting Seven Free Public Concerts next season, we will again give over 30 outreach performances for residents of nursing homes, hospitals, homeless shelters and retirement communities, and in classrooms and helping organizations throughout the Greater New Orleans area.
As a New Orleans native who resides in Algiers Point (where my great-grandfather owned a grocery store many years ago!) and who began viola lessons in Louisiana public schools, it means a great deal to me that through CCCMF I am able to help bring this amazing music and mission to my family, friends, and so many more here in this unique, vibrant, wonderful city.
Please check out the rest of the website, and I hope you will be able to join us from October 10-19, 2025 to experience some truly meaningful music making. See you soon!
