Charlotte Tyhurst, Festival Manager

Cellist Charlotte Tyhurst was born and raised in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario and fell in ‘love at first symphony’ playing in the local youth orchestra. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver studying with Eric Wilson and a Master’s at the Université de Montréal, studying with Yegor Dyachkov. While she is a dedicated orchestral musician, having played in the Thunder Bay Symphony, the Kamloops Symphony, and the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra, she also has a special place in her heart for chamber music, having been fortunate enough to perform at many festivals all across Canada from British Columbia to Newfoundland, as well as in Mexico and France. Ms. Tyhurst is currently completing a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law at McGill University, but the cello is never far from arms’ reach as she continues to pursue freelance work in her current home city of Montreal.
